What are active users?
An active user is someone who regularly uses an app during a set time period. For example, in a day, week or month. This metric is used to determine the share of total users who actively engage with the app.
There are three common types of active users:
- Daily Active Users (DAU)
- Weekly Active Users (WAU)
- Monthly Active Users (MAU)
