What are opt-in ads?
Opt-in ads are a type of mobile advertisement that users actively choose to engage with. Unlike standard ads (e.g. banner ads, interstitial ads) that are displayed to users without their permission, opt-in ads request explicit consent from users.
Since users voluntarily engage with these ads, they are considered less intrusive than traditional ad formats.
Types of opt-in ads
In mobile marketing, there are two common types of opt-in advertising: rewarded video ads and offerwall ads.
- Rewarded video ads are an ad format where users agree to watch video ads to receive small in-game rewards.
- Offerwall ads are a form of rewarded advertising where users complete goal engagements in exchange for generous rewards.
