GeoTechnologies, a leading map company, launched TRIMA in 2020, an M2E app rewarding users for movement. The app quickly gained 20 million+ downloads and over 500,000 MAUs in Japan. In February 2023, they introduced GeoSmile, the global version, now exceeding 800,000 downloads and mainly popular in the U.S.
