The first thing we notice is that ChatGPT is the most downloaded app worldwide. This, along with Google Gemini at n.5, shows how AI assistants have gone from being experimental tools to everyday apps.
TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook sit stable in the top 10, proving that short-form videos and social networking keep being part of our day-to-day life.

When shifting focus from downloads to revenue, the top 10 changes slightly:

Social and content creation apps such as Threads, CapCut, and TikTok also performed strongly.

A difference we notice with iOS is the success of WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business.
There could be a reason for this.
iOS devices are mainly used in the US, where people tend to communicate through Apple’s native apps, such as iMessage.
On the other hand, WhatsApp is widely used in countries all over the world, especially in Europe, Latin America, Africa and South-East Asia, where Android phones are more common.
